Contact-Free, Adaptive Handling is a standout feature of the Millennium ECO BOX, as it offers automated, size-adaptive capability. This feature dynamically adjusts to varying panel sizes without requiring manual intervention. Its lateral, frictionless alignment system guarantees that there is no physical contact between the PCBs and conveyor belts, reducing wear and eliminating the need for mechanical centring. The system accurately detects and picks up each panel, minimising handling risks and enhancing overall efficiency.

𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

The Millennium ECO BOX is capable of both loading and unloading from either Boxes or L-Rack trolleys without requiring operator setup changes. The automation system identifies whether a Box or L-rack trolley is present and adjusts its robotic path accordingly. This flexibility is especially useful in mixed-material lines, such as those handling FR4 laminates and PI flex laminates, where switching between loading formats is often necessary.

𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀

Dual L Rack Trolley / Box Load-Unload Mode
The system can operate with two stations (L Rack or Box). It loads or unloads from Station No. 1, and once it’s full, the system automatically switches to Station No. 2 ensuring non-stop operation. The first station can then be swapped with an empty unit, allowing continuous workflow with no downtime.

𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 + 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲

In this mode, one station handles panel loading/unloading while the second is used to manage plastic interleaves ideal for customers requiring surface protection between boards. Switching between modes is effortless via an intuitive touchscreen interface.

𝗕𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀

Beyond its loading and unloading capabilities, the Millennium ECO BOX can also serve as a buffer station within the production line. It can:
Pass panels through directly.
Temporarily collect panels.
Or reinsert panels into the line as needed.
Buffering can be combined with interleave insertion, providing even greater flexibility for process optimisation.

Despite its advanced capabilities, the Millennium ECO BOX features a compact footprint of just 874 mm in length, making it ideal for space-constrained production environments. It can handle panels of various sizes and thicknesses without requiring downtime between batches. Equipped with a high-speed, six-axis robotic arm, the system delivers fast and precise handling. Each panel is automatically measured upon entry, and the suction-cup gripper adjusts accordingly to ensure secure and reliable movement.
